Tyler Bauer is a musician, composer, arranger, and educator currently living in New York City. As a saxophonist he has played festivals around the world and had the honor to play and present clinics with esteemed musicians such as Jeff Hamilton, Lewis Nash, and Cory Wong of Vulfpeck.
As a composer and arranger he has written for small ensemble projects such as Crossroads Quintet, Phoenix hip-hop band The Stakes, and for the John Raymond contemporary jazz ensemble at Indiana University.
As a teacher he has been running his own private studio since 2015 and has performed clinics at public schools, the JEN conference with combo director Lewis Nash, and educational outreach programs.
He is a recent graduate of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where he studied with accomplished saxophonists Walter Smith III and Greg Ward II.

Kate Vincent’s “Unfinished Business”
Vincent’s composition “Unfinished Business” got her an honorable mention at the 2018 ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards in 2018. Tyler was the featured soloist on the track.
